Scheduling & Fees
The
DLAM Introductory Workshop is designed to give teachers, guidance counselors,
administrators, and youth workers the tools and inspiration they need to successfully
implement the DLAM curricula. We offer both one-day and two-day workshops,
however we highly recommend organizing a two-day workshop as this will give
participants a more comprehensive understanding of the programs.
Skilled
and experienced trainers conduct one and two-day workshops to prepare teachers,
counselors and administrators to implement the DLAM curriculum and make it
a part of the school culture.
The workshop will include: an introduction to the background, need, scope
and pedagogy of the DLAM Project; an opportunity for participants to explore
their
personal feelings and behaviors around the impact bullying can have on
school environments; an examination of the components of the DLAM teaching
resources;
hands-on experience with curriculum strategies; and, an opportunity to
meet in small "role-alike" groups to plan steps toward implementation
by developing school action plans.
Workshop expenses include: hotel, meals, and travel expenses of workshop leaders,
as well as the following rates: one workshop leader at
$1500 per diem (up to 60 participants) and two workshop leaders at $1500 per diem each (up to 120 participants).
If you would like to organize a workshop, please contact Elizabeth Kolodny, Program
Director, at: ekolodny@operationrespect.org or 212-904-3616.
