have created my own lessons, used a variety of books and educational resources
to teach, but my passion for this isn't always enough. It wasn't until I came
across your "Don't Laugh at Me" program that I felt I had struck
gold. This program has everything I need to touch these children. The music,
the activity and movement, the discussions, the introspection..I went into
the classrooms with the enthusiasm and excitement of an intern, and with the
confidence of 9 years of experience.. After implementing the program, a student,
one may refer to as a bully, came to me and said "Mrs. Krycia, that's
me. I want to change, can you help?" Another student approached me and
said of a boy who is working on not teasing others: "Not only is he not
teasing but he is now stopping other people from teasing." This is my
greatest joy and success."

"I am a middle school teacher of severely learning disabled
students who also have behavior problems. I have had small, minor problems with
the students, and no major problems at all. I attribute this to the focus I am
putting on respect, no put downs, caring about others, and following the program.
This is an urban school, so there is potential for a lot of aggression, name
calling, and acting out. I have tried "behavior programs" using incentives,
rewards, etc. but nothing has made the impact this has. Thank you for this program."

"I am implementing the "Don't Laugh at Me" program
along with other character education activites and conflict resolution techniques.
Though it's early in the project, I am already impressed with some of the results
I am seeing... What touched me the most was a child that had been routinely teased
and had visited with me in the past about the problem. The child came to me and
said the teasing had stopped. The child seemed to be feeling much better about
the situation and felt the Don't Laugh at Me program was helping in this regard.
Though this will be a long process to create a "Ridicule-Free-Zone" as
it is referred to in the program, at least I feel we are off to a good start.

"I can't tell you how great I think the program is. My son
is in first grade and is new to the school this year. He feels that the implementation
of the Don't Laugh at Me program helped him to fit in to the group and class
even though he was one of the new kids at school. The kids really got into the
program and could relate to the feeling of being different, made fun of, or left
out at times. I have noticed a change in my son's attitude since the class and
