Jim was born in 1953, grew up in St. Cloud, MN, attended Catholic grade school, graduated from Cathedral High School in 1971 and graduated from St. Cloud State University in 1974 with a BS in Education.  He taught school for two years, worked for various companies and in 1979 launched his own company, Intra Financial Corporation.

Over the past thirty-six years, Jim Graves has established himself as a tenacious leader in the real estate, hotel and restaurant industry developing more than one hundred projects. Creative and innovative in his approach, Jim’s entrepreneurial career has proven to be as distinctive as it is successful.

Jim has served on numerous non-profit boards and committees.  In 2012, Jim ran to represent Minnesota’s 6th Congressional District, losing to incumbent Rep. Michele Bachmann. Jim was inducted into the Minnesota Business Hall of Fame in 2015.

Jim has been married to his wife, Julie, for 43 years, has three grown sons, three wonderful daughter-in-laws and 7 grandchildren.
